The Path to Success

CIS is now offering tutoring services for students in 5th-12th grade in a small group setting through the on-campus Student Success Center.

In addition to general academic support, students learn researched-based organizational and executive functioning skills.

By participating in our small-group tutoring services, students will strengthen their connection to:

Each other

The Success Center is staffed by CIS teachers and private tutors.

Early Registration

The cost is $10 per 45-minute session. No more than four students can participate in each session to ensure students receive the support they need.

    Our son has always had a hard time keeping track of assignments, knowing what needs to be done and when it is due.
    For years, we have had nightly meltdowns over homework. Our son has been going to the CIS Student Success Center at least 3 times a week since it opened.
    The Student Success Center has helped him get, and stay, organized. They also help him set priorities and develop a plan for studying. He is able to get most of his homework done before leaving school. No more meltdowns!
    Most exciting of all, we have seen improvements in his grades in all of his class, with the greatest improvements in the classes he has traditionally really struggled in.

    Even though I meet with my teachers during school, I recently needed extra support so I decided to attend the Student Success Center. I am glad I did. It was a great and unique experience and was the extra support I needed to really understand the concepts I was learning.
    It was awesome working on homework and having a teacher right there to help me figure out problems I was getting stuck on. It really helped to get some individual attention and really understand my homework.
    I will continue to use the SSC, especially to start preparing for final exams!
