I am so happy that you have decided to learn more about our incredible community, and I know that you will quickly see the unique aspects of our school that have contributed to our growth over the past twenty five years.
At CIS, our mission is “to guide students in the pursuit of excellence through academic, physical, and creative achievement while exemplifying a commitment to integrity, trust, and responsibility. To encourage students to realize the joy of living through personal achievement and service to others, in preparation for higher learning and community life.” This is a lofty mission, and one that we embrace every day. Our students are encouraged to pursue their personal excellence with support and guidance from a caring and talented faculty and staff. As our world changes, we recognize that it is paramount that students are given the opportunity to learn and grow in an environment where they are encouraged to take risks and stretch themselves, with a focus on ethics, the joy of living, and service to others.
In my ten years at CIS, I have seen enormous growth in our community and I am so thrilled for the changes on the horizon. The expansion of our early childhood program and our upper school addition will set us up for success for the next twenty five years. Our commitment to each student and family and our desire to educate and support the whole child at each developmental stage differentiates us and positions CIS as an educational leader in mid-Missouri.
